UPDATE: Right before halftime, Ohio State went on a 15-play, 80-yard drive to take the lead 10-7. However, Sayin's mistakes and missed throws continued. Thankfully, he hit Bo Jackson for the go-ahead score on fourth down. Still, he's got to clean up his play in the second half.
This is not the Julian Sayin that Ohio State fans were expecting against No. 5 Indiana in Bloomington. Early on against the Hoosiers, the stud quarterback has not been playing at a top level, with the Hoosiers defensive line throwing him off of his game.
This is something that also has head coach Ryan Day a bit unhappy. After a miscommunication with 5-star freshman Chris Henry Jr. in the second quarter, Ohio State was forced to punt the ball away to the Hoosiers yet again. As Sayin made his way to the sidelines, the FOX cameras caught an interaction between him and Day, with the latter not looking too pleased with the play of his QB:

Julian Sayin struggling on the road against Indiana clearly has Ryan Day a bit ticked off
Shortly before that punt, Sayin had Jeremiah Smith wide open down the field. Had Sayin put the ball on the money, Smith would have been able to make his way to the end zone to put Ohio State back in front. Instead of that happening, though, Sayin underthrew the ball by about 3-4 yards, leading to the ball hitting the turf.
There was a questionable pass interference that wasn't called on Smith, but regardless, Sayin didn't get enough air on it, with that not being his first miss of the day either. Straight up, Sayin has looked sluggish, and it hasn't been pretty to see.
This is a revenge game for the Buckeyes, as countless guys inside of the locker room have not forgotten about losing to the Hoosiers in the Big Ten title game last winter. That defeat got the nightmare end to the season going, while Charlie Becker trolling Ohio State with his viral postgame video ticked off a lot of people too. The hope was that Becker would regret that move even more thanks to an Ohio State win in Week 7.
Thus far, however, the offense is doing nothing positive outside of the strong first drive that resulted in a field goal. Since then, the defense has been keeping the Buckeyes in this one, with Matt Patricia coming up with the right game plan to keep the Hoosiers from running away with a win. Sayin, already with an INT to his name, needs to wake up, and fast. Otherwise, the frustration among the fanbase is only going to continue to grow, while Day will also continue to be left shaking his head as well. Something's gotta change here.
