FOX analyst says quiet part out loud on Ohio State-Jeremiah Smith Biletnikoff snub

How can this happen two years in a row?

How is it possible for this to happen not once, but twice? Ask anyone out there and they'll be quick to tell you that Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is the best wideout in the game. He's a future top pick in the NFL Draft, unless a GM totally blows it.

Jeremiah Smith might go beast mode in the CFP following award snub

Well, for the second year in a row, the Biletnikoff Award winner has been announced and we didn't hear Smith's name. What?! That's right, and we mean no disrespect whatsoever, the honor went to USC's Makai Lemon. Smith couldn't believe it and neither could we. Ask FOX analyst RJ Young about what happened and he went ahead and summed things up perfectly:

Ohio State football star Jeremiah Smith getting robbed of the Biletnikoff Award was a joke

Again, no disrespect to Lemon, but this was a complete and total robbery. Smith is not only the best wide receiver in the college game, but he's also one of the top players out there in the country period. You can tell he was ticked off by not taking home the honor, which is going to be bad news for the other teams in the College Football Playoff.

Think Smith is going to be motivated to ball out? Keep in mind that the last time Ohio State took the field, the Buckeyes suffered a shocking loss to Indiana in the Big Ten title game. People have been quick to bash Ohio State for being 'overrated' and playing terribly in that defeat.

That game alone was going to push Smith and the rest of his teammates to take things to a new level and silence the haters in the CFP. But now? Oh, Smith is going to use Friday's update as something else to keep in mind before he puts on his helmet next.

Ohio State will have a first-round bye in the Playoff and then it will take on the winner of Miami vs. Texas A&M on Dec. 31 in Arlington. That matchup can't come soon enough for Buckeyes fans, who want to wipe away the memories of the loss to Indiana ASAP. The same can be said for Smith, who will look to remind everyone that he's the best in the business, even if the Biletnikoff Award was given to someone else.
