The Ohio State football program is getting ready for some very big prospects to visit Columbus. There are multiple five-star and four-star recruits who will be visiting the campus. They are going to start adding some recruits to the 2026 class in the next couple of months.

One recruiting target who is an in-state prospect is Cincere Johnson. Johnson is from Cleveland and is the second-best recruit in the state of Ohio. He is one of the best edge recruits available, and he is down to just three schools in his recruitment, with Ohio State being one of them.

Other than the Ohio State Buckeyes, Johnson is also considering Penn State and Alabama. He will be visiting Alabama this weekend after he visited Penn State a couple of weeks ago. Johnson will visit the Buckeyes on June 13th. Shortly after, he will make his collegiate decision.

Johnson has officially decided that he will be committing on June 19th, just a week after visiting the Ohio State football program. He will have finished visits with all of his final three schools. That is when Johnson decided he would end his recruitment and pick a school.

The Buckeyes would love to have Johnson stay home. He is favored to stay home, which means Ohio State might end up landing him. That would be a win that Larry Johnson needs to get, because he hasn't gotten enough wins with top recruits in the last few years.

Adding Johnson would not just be adding a big-time recruit, but it would be adding one of the best recruits in the state of Ohio. Ohio State makes it a goal to get all of the best recruits in the state. Ryan Day wants to keep the best players in the state home.
