The Ohio State football program put a ton of players into the NFL during the Jim Tressel era. While the Buckeyes were led by Tressel, they were one of the best programs in the country. He won a national championship and played for two others while leading the team.
One of the best players to ever play under Tressel was cornerback Malcolm Jenkins. Jenkins was a three-time First-team All-Big Ten honoree. He was a second-team All-American in 2007 and a Consensus All-American in 2008. He also won the Jim Thorpe Award for the best DB in the country.
Jenkins ended up playing for two different teams during his 13-year NFL career. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for six years and made three Pro Bowls with the team. Jenkins was a team captain for the Eagles for quite a while. Now, he is getting the ultimate honor from the team.
Former Ohio State football player Malcolm Jenkins will be inducted into the Eagles' Hall of Fame
Philadelphia is inducting Jenkins into its Hall of Fame. Jenkins played mostly safety in his NFL career, and that's where he played in Philly. Jenkins won a Super Bowl with the Eagles back in 2018, using his ability to cover and come up in the running game as a run-stopper.

Jenkins is not part of the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame, but that honor might be coming soon. He is certainly one of the best players that the Ohio State Buckeyes have ever had on the football field. He was a really good cornerback, even if he ended up playing safety at the next level.
The Eagles absolutely loved what Jenkins brought to the team with both his play and his leadership, both in and out of the locker room. At this point, it's unclear when the induction will take place. When it does happen, it will be a great day for both the Eagles and for Jenkins.
Jenkins will certainly be honored if he returns to an Ohio State football game at some point this year, as well. He is beloved in Columbus by his former teammates and the fans who have watched him succeed in college and at the next level.
