Former Ohio State football player Joey Bosa has had a great NFL career. After having a great career with the Buckeyes, including winning a national championship in 2014. He was one of the best defensive players in all of college football, totaling 13.5 sacks in his sophomore season.
After he was done with the Buckeyes, he was the third overall pick by the Chargers. He has made the Pro Bowl five times, including just last season. Despite all of his success, the Chargers decided to release him before the new league year started. He suddenly needed a new team.
Bosa was not out of a job for long. He was able to find another team that wanted him to keep playing at a high level. Bosa has now signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills to continue his NFL career. This will be a prove-it deal that could have a major upside for him,

This deal gives Bosa an excellent opportunity to earn another big contract after next season. If he is able to prove that he can stay healthy and have another solid season, he could earn a bigger, longer-term deal from either the Bills or another team next offseason.
Bosa also gets an opportunity to play for one of the teams that has a real chance to win the Super Bowl. He has never had any real postseason success when he was with the Chargers. The Bills have been one of the teams who have knocking on the door of winning a title.
In an ideal scenario, Bosa wins a title with the Bills and can cash in next season as a free agent again. This deal with Buffalo gives him $12 million for his one season of work. He can make a whole lot more if he's able to put together a solid season that sees him get double-digit sacks.
Bosa was one of the best Ohio State Buckeyes ever. Now, he is trying to elevate his NFL career to a level it hasn't been yet.
