Former Ohio State football player Ben Christman has tragically passed away at the age of just 21 years old. He passed away while at UNLV, which was the third stop on his college football journey. He had previously transferred to Kentucky before transferring to UNLV.
While he was with the Buckeyes, he spent two years in Columbus. In those two years, he only appeared in one game against Indiana. Christman decided to transfer to Kentucky after those two years in a chase to get more playing time. That ultimately didn't bear much fruit, so he entered the transfer portal again.
Christman was getting ready to start his first season at UNLV. He committed to the Rebels in part because former Ohio State staffer Mike Sollenne is the new offensive line coach for the Rebels. He thought that he could finally get the playing time that he deserved.

There are no details that have emerged as far as a cause of death is concerned as of this moment. There are rumors, but that is not something I fell comfortable putting out there because there is no concrete evidence of what happened yet. UNLV did release a statement about Christman's death.

It's an incredible shame that this young man is no longer with us. He was just 21 years old and had his whole life ahead of him. The Ohio State football community will grieve with him and his family in this terribly difficult time.
