Last season, the Ohio State football team had two of the best offensive linemen in the country. Seth McLaughlin won the Rimington Award for being the best center in the country. He wasn't the only fantastic offensive lineman that was in the starting lineup.
Josh Simmons was perhaps the best left tackle in the country after taking a massive leap from his junior season. Unfortunately, he was lost for the season during the regular season matchup against the Oregon Ducks, suffering a major knee injury. It was a concern when he was being drafted, too.
That knee injury is why Simmons fell all the way to the 32nd overall pick, being the last pick of the first round. Simmons was able to recover from his injury and was cleared for training camp, and now he looks like he could be the steal of the 2025 NFL Draft.

With training camp now in session for all of the NFL teams, Simmons is already turning heads.

Simmons already looks like he could be the starting left tackle of the future. He has done a great job of holding off defensive ends so far, but things are early. His size and ability to move are what make him special, which is why the Ohio State Buckeyes pursued him in the transfer portal.
The Buckeyes are certainly going to miss him this season. He's a special that is not easy to replace. He has a chance to be one of the best left tackles in the NFL once he develops. His skill set is exactly what the Chiefs are looking for in order to protect Patrick Mahomes.
Simmons gets to go to one of the best organizations in the NFL. He might be able to win a Super Bowl as a rookie.
