The Ohio State football team had a lot of great years while they were led by Urban Meyer. Meyer was one of the best college coaches of all time before he even got to Columbus. He won two national championships while leading Florida, including one over the Buckeyes.

Meyer led one of the most improbable runs in college football history when he led the 2014 Ohio State Buckeyes to a national championship. He took a team that was down to their third-string quarterback and helped them beat Wisconsin, Alabama, and Oregon in one of the most memorable three-game runs in program history.

After the 2018 season, Meyer retired due to health issues. Ryan Day has been leading the program ever since. Meyer hasn't coached in college since then and is likely done coaching period. Now, he has been given the biggest honor a college coach can receive.

Meyer has officially been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He goes in with a studded 2025 class that includes Nick Saban, his coaching peer. Meyer is the only Buckeye to be inducted in this year's class. This clearly was an honor that Meyer deserved.

In the history of Ohio State, only his successor has a higher winning percentage than him. In all of college football, Meyer is fourth all-time in winning percentage. He is also one of just two coaches to ever win a national championship at two different schools, joining Saban.

The Buckeyes have had a lot of great coaches in their program's history. Meyer is obviously near the top of that list. Perhaps only Woody Hayes is greater in program history, although Jim Tressel is close as well. Meyer knows what it takes to win at the highest level.

Congrats to Coach Meyer on his accomplishment!
