Former Ohio State football player Mike Vrabel has worked his way up. After his playing days were done, he took a position on staff with the Buckeyes under Luke Fickell. He was the linebackers coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes and stayed on as the defensive line coach under Urban Meyer.
Since then, Vrabel has worked his way up the ranks. He eventually became the head coach of the Tennessee Titans and even won the NFL Coach of the Year Award. For reasons that still remain unclear, the Titans decided to fire Vrabel. After a year of not being a head coach, he got a job with the Patriots.
This is Vrabel's first season coaching the Patriots. He might win NFL Coach of the Year again after this season, as he has led the Patriots from being one of the worst teams in the league to now reaching the Super Bowl. The Patriots have advanced to the Super Bowl after beating the Broncos.

New England took down the Broncos in snowy Denver, 10-7. With that win, the Patriots are back in the Super Bowl for the first time since Tom Brady left the franchise. All it took was a former Buckeye to lead the organization, and they are back, just one step away from being on top of the football world.
Vrabel has proven that he is one of the best coaches in the NFL. He's one of the best coaches in all of football, and he has proven that he can lead teams to the top of the mountain. Had Ryan Day been let go at the end of last season, before winning a national championship, Vrabel would have been an excellent choice.
Vrabel will now face the winner of the Seahawks and the Rams in the Super Bowl in a couple of weeks.
