Ohio State football fans do not like Jayden Fielding. Fielding has spent his entire career with the Buckeyes missing field goals in big moments. That happened in both 2024 and 2025. In 2024, he missed two short field goals against TTUN, costing them that game.

Last season, Fielding missed a short field goal against Indiana that could have sent the game to overtime. He also missed a field goal the following game against Miami in the Cotton Bowl. Quite frankly, fans are happy to see him moving on from the program.

During Ohio State's Pro Day, the Buckeyes had Fielding show off for scouts as he tries to continue his football career. He is trying to make sure that he is drafted. He had a strong showing during Pro Day, and fans absolutely crushed him on social media for kicking well in a sanitized environment.

Video emerged of Fielding hitting a 57-yard field goal during Pro Day, which is longer than any field goal he made over the last three years. Fans lit him up in the comments section.

It's safe to say that fans of the Ohio State Buckeyes are ready to have him gone. The Buckeyes went into the Transfer Portal to get Connor Hawkins from Baylor to be the new kicker. Fans are already rallying behind him in a way they were never behind Fielding.

It would be shocking to see a team draft Fielding based on his track record in college. He didn't attempt more than 20 field goals in any single season with Ohio State. He also never made more than 80 percent of his field goals in a year, which is not good when his career high is 49 yards.

Fielding had his best possible workout during Pro Day to give him a chance, though.
