Ex-OSU player at Tennessee says Ohio State football fans don't get loud in the Shoe

One Tennessee football player is calling out Ohio State football fans, saying the Shoe isn't as loud as middling SEC stadiums. He's a former Buckeye.

The Shoe is one of the biggest stadiums in all of college football. Ohio State football fans fill up that stadium every home game in the Fall. They make sure that it's one of the loudest environments in all of football. They definitely affect games and make life tough for opponents.

When the Shoe is loud at night, there aren't many tougher places to play in the country. It's extremely hard to hear, and it makes it tough for opposing offenses to operate. Tennessee is going to have to deal with that in a couple of weeks when they travel to the Shoe for the first round of the CFP.

One current Tennessee player has decided to issue a challenge to fans of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He spoke to the media and said that schools like Arkansas and South Carolina are louder at night than Ohio State is. The kicker is that he's a former Buckeye himself.

Former Ohio State football player says the Shoe doesn't get loud

The player in question is Andre Turrentine. Turrentine was actually a Buckeye for a short time. He was part of the 2021 recruiting class before transferring to Tennessee after just one season. He didn't play at all in that season either. Take a look at his comments below.

Turrentine actually plays for the Volunteers, unlike his time in Columbus. He has just decided to poke the bear. The bear, in this case, is a massive swath of Ohio State football fans. He essentially just issued a challenge to the 105,000+ fans who will be at this game.

I fully expect the fans to be extremely loud in the first home game in December in the history of the Buckeyes. Tennessee is going to have a major issue with hearing cadences. That will only get worse if the Vols struggle early because that will give the fans even more juice.

Having a former Buckeye say this will only fire up the crowd more. Turrentine is going to be proven wrong.
