If you've seen some trade rumors surrounding former Ohio State Buckeyes standout wide receiver Chris Olave, you're not alone. There have been talks about him potentially being on the move for quite some time now, and it looks like the Pittsburgh Steelers have interest.

That was confirmed by Pittsburgh beat reporter Nick Farabaugh, who said the Steelers front office reached out to New Orleans to see if the speedster is available. That's good and well, but the catch here is that Farbaugh doesn't expect there to be much movement:

WR Chris Olave has been linked with a potential move to the Steelers

Per Farabaugh's sources, this was a 'due-diligence' call and he doesn't expect this to take off at all. Could the two sides end up getting something down the road? Hey, you never know what might happen, as Pittsburgh is looking to reload on offense, which has included trading for DK Metcalf this offseason.

For now, though, it feels like a bit of cold water has been thrown on the idea of Olave packing his bags and making a move to the AFC North. Back in 2022, New Orleans selected Olave with the No. 11 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Olave posted back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns to start off his career, but some adversity arrived for him in 2024.

This past season, Olave unfortunately suffered two concussions, including one in Week 9 which proved to be a season-ending one. Early on in his career, he has suffered four concussions, which is surely quite concerning.

These injuries limited him to eight played games in '24, with him posting 32 receptions for 400 yards and a touchdown. The hope is that he can bounce back and stay fully healthy next fall and winter. If so, he should be in line for a head-turning season. For now, it will come with the Saints, but a potential trade elsewhere is something for a lot of people to pay attention to.
