Ex-Ohio State football player catches Hail Mary in the Play of the Year
By Ryan Stano
It was quite a weekend for former Ohio State football players. Specifically, the wide receivers. There were a lot of Buckeyes who had big games over the weekend in the NFL. Marvin Harrison Jr., Terry McLaurin, Chris Olave, and Garrett Wilson all had huge games.
All four of those receivers had over 100 receiving yards in their games. It was a great weekend to be an Ohio State receiver. Perhaps no one had a better day than Noah Brown. Brown had three catches for 73 yards and the biggest touchdown of the year so far.
On the final play of the game, the Washington Commanders needed a miracle. They knew they needed a Hail Mary in order to win the game. They had 52 yards to go with just five seconds left. It was Brown who helped the Commanders successfully achieve that miracle.
Former Ohio State football player Noah Brown catches a Hail Mary to win a game
Brown caught it after a defensive back from the Bears tipped the ball behind him into the end zone. Take a look at the incredible play below.
It was an utterly incredible play that will be replayed for years. The Washington Commanders now have an all-time play in their franchise's history. It's very cool to see a former Ohio State football player be a part of that historic play. Brown will always be attached to this play.
With the win, Washington now moves to 6-2 on the year. They are in first place in the NFC East and are one of the best teams in the entire conference. Brown and McLaurin are both helping them stay a good team. Both Buckeye receivers are making key plays.
It'd be nice if the current Ohio State Buckeyes could make a winning play like that next week against Penn State.
