Spooky season is almost done, but there is nothing scarier than waiting for an elite recruit to make his announcement on his commitment when you are in the final group of teams. The Class of 2027 is starting to make their rounds, figuring out which schools they may or may not want to commit to now, and for one four-star linebacker, he is ready to make his choice now.

Kamarui Dorsey, a four-star linebacker out of Georgia, has narrowed his list down to seven schools, and of course, Ohio State is still in the hunt for this elite recruit. The Buckeyes, however, are competing with LSU, which just lost its head coach, Georgia, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, and Florida State, for Dorsey's commitment.

Dorsey made an announcement on social media that he was planning to make his decision the day after Halloween, so this Saturday on November 1.

The Hampton, Georgia native is the No. 41 player in the Class of 2027, the No. 5 linebacker in the country, and the No. 3 player in the state of Georgia, according to 247Sports. He has two-way player for Hampton High School this year and made a difference on both sides of the ball.

Ohio State is always looking for elite defenders, and if Ohio State wants a recruit, then they must be good. The Buckeyes want the top-of-the-line defenders for their defense that right now is No. 1 in the country under defensive coordinator Matt Patricia.

While Ohio State has some stiff competition with some of the schools on Dorsey's list, the Buckeyes probably have a great chance at landing the top linebacker. Right now, in the Class of 2027, Ohio State has three commits, with only one player on the defensive side of the ball, safety Angelo Smith.

Day has some work to do in order to build the Class of 2027, but right now, he is probably a little more focused on winning Ohio State another National Championship this season.
