The Ohio State football program has won its first national championship since 2014. They did so after beating Notre Dame 34-23. It was a game that shouldn't have been as close as it was, but it ended up with a Buckeye win anyway. The Buckeyes finished off one of the greatest runs in college football history.

Winning the national championship is the crowning achievement of the 2021 class. It was the final opportunity for them to win something big, and they did it. They also were able to win this game for Ryan Day as well after fans wanted him fired following the loss to Michigan.

Despite having the Ohio State Buckeyes as champions of the college football world, Desmond Howard found a way to take a shot at them. Speaking on Get Up the morning after the championship, he took a shot at them, making reference to Ohio State losing to Michigan four straight times.

Howard congratulated Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame on getting to the national championship. He even talked about how Michigan has beaten Ohio State four straight times. He did not congratulate Ohio State on winning the national title at any point.

The Buckeyes don't care what a clown like Howard has to say. He is a Michigan troll who will do anything he can to discredit the Buckeyes. It doesn't matter. The Buckeyes are now the defending national champions and will be for the next year. There's nothing anyone can say that will take that away.

Ohio State will celebrate this forever. The players are going to cherish this for as long as they live. Ryan Day will, too. It's one of the greatest achievements in Ohio State football history.
