Let's just go ahead and say that Ohio State football fans everywhere can be thankful that Ryan Day would never even think about pulling off this kind of a move. Over the weekend, a video has gone viral of Oregon head coach Dan Lanning and new 5-star commit Richard Wesley.

Let's start off by saying we're not trying to bring Wesley down for this life-changing decision. Props to him for shutting down his recruitment. With that said, Lanning throwing off his shirt and jumping into the pool with the youngster is a move that finds the Oregon head coach getting ripped apart online, as it took 'cringey' to the next level. You know what, good:

Dan Lanning did something Ryan Day would never after landing a 5-star commit

A quick look at the replies to Hayes Fawcett's post shows people from all over the country going in on Lanning and understandably so. Hey, we get it, he was excited to land the 5-star EDGE over so many other teams that were chasing his verbal.

Still, could you imagine if Day did something like this? Luckily we don't even have to think about that. Yeah, he's not going to toss off his shirt and do a cannonball into a pool with a high school kid like this for extra style points.

People are comparing this video to the awful Brian Kelly one where he was dancing with a recruit. That's something many out there can't erase from their memory bank either. As for Lanning, come on man, be better than this.

Ducks fans continue to call out the Buckeyes for taking Ohio State down in Autzen last year in a 32-31 thriller, but remember how the Rose Bowl went? Yeah, Will Howard and Jeremiah Smith had their way with the Ducks in the College Football Playoff en route to winning it all.

The Ducks may have landed this 5-star pledge too, but keep in mind that Ohio State's recruiting has been on a tear of late, with many more big-name pledges looking to be on the way. Day will celebrate in style when his next verbal pledge does arrive, but he won't reach this new low set by Lanning, that's for sure.
