The Ohio State football team is getting ready to play its fourth College Football Playoff game on Monday. This one will be the last one since it's the National Championship Game. Notre Dame is their opponent. It's a battle of two high-profile brands.

Along the Buckeyes' journey, ticket prices haven't been cheap. The cheapest ticket was for the first-round game against Tennessee at the Shoe. That makes sense, considering it was a home game. All of the neutral-site games had some ticket prices go down right before kickoff.

For the National Championship Game, it looks like the ticket prices are not going to go down. In fact, the cheapest tickets have actually gone up since they were first released last week. If you want to watch the Ohio State Buckeyes, it's going to cost you a lot of money.

The cheapest ticket for the Ohio State football vs. Notre Dame game is over $2,000

As of right now, the cheapest tickets are over two grand a piece if you include fees, according to Gametime. The cheapest ticket anywhere you can find is $2,133. With ticket fees being over 40% of the price, that drives up the cost to the consumer. It's absurd how high ticket costs are.

If you are heading down to Atlanta hoping to catch the Buckeyes in this game, it's not going to be cheap. Ticket prices might fall slightly right before kickoff, but they look like they're going to stay over $1500 before the start of the game. If your budget is high, then you'll be fine.

With it being two iconic brands playing in this game, it makes sense that prices are very high. Still, these prices surprise me. These are Super Bowl-like prices for a college game. There will be a lot of Buckeye fans who drive down to just watch it in Atlanta at a bar, which might be the move.
