College Gameday picker for the Ohio State football vs. IU game revealed
By Ryan Stano
College Gameday will be on-site for an Ohio State football game for the third time this season. They were also at the Oregon and Penn State games. This is the first time this season that Gameday will be on Ohio State's campus though. They picked a good week to come too.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are taking on the Indiana Hoosiers in another top-five matchup. It's the biggest game in college football this season. It's a chance for IU to show they are a legit CFP contender, while it's a chance for Ohio State to keep their Big Ten Championship hopes alive.
There was a lot of speculation on who might be the guest picker for this weekend. Gameday has been to Columbus a lot over the years, so it's hard to pick someone who hasn't already been a picker. They were able to do that this week because they picked a former Ohio State football player.
Former Ohio State football player Justin Fields will be the guest picker on College Gameday
Former Ohio State football player Justin Fields will be the guy on set as the guest picker. He's able to go to Columbus because his Steelers played on Thursday night against Cleveland. While they lost, Fields came in and had a couple of nice moments in plays specifically designed for him.
As far as recent Ohio State football players are concerned, Fields is a fan favorite. He was one of the best leaders the Buckeyes have had in a long team. He's one of the big reasons why the Buckeyes played for a national title in the 2020 COVID season. Quite frankly, he's a big reason why the Big Ten was even able to play football that year.
Fields will always hold a special place in my heart for his two phenomenal seasons in Columbus. It will be nice to see him back on campus for this moment so Buckeye fans can shower him with love once again.
