The Ohio State football team hasn't lost a game for almost a year. Losing the fourth-straight game to TTUN clearly triggered something inside of Ryan Day, because he is coaching differently. This team has been on a rampage, and it helped them win a national championship last season.

Coming into this weekend, the Buckeyes are 10-0. The CFP rankings have them number one yet again. Not only do they have defensive stats that prove they are the best defensive team in the country, but Julian Sayin has proven to be the best quarterback in the country, as well.

With this ranking, Ohio State has secured its spot in the College Football Playoff. Even two straight losses at this point would not knock them out of the CFP field. Regardless of what happens in the last two games, the Ohio State Buckeyes will get a chance to defend their title.

The Ohio State football team has a chance to go back-to-back

Of course, the Buckeyes do not want to lose either of the final two games they will play this regular season. Beating Rutgers shouldn't be too tough for Ohio State, as they are just .500 on the year. There's still a chance that they fall to Michigan in a couple of weeks, though.

If that were to happen, Ohio State would still play in the College Football Playoff. While the vibe wouldn't be as bad as it was after last year's loss, fans would still not be happy if a fifth-straight loss were to occur. This Ohio State team is trying to end that horrible streak.

Of course, the first order of business is Rutgers. Beating the Scarlet Knights at home is at the top of the agenda. It's still nice for the team to know that they don't absolutely have to win each of the next two games in order to defend their national title.
