The Ohio State football team dominated in the College Football Playoff. They had the hardest possible path and still won a national championship. Ohio State took down Tennessee, Oregon, Texas, and finally Notre Dame in order to win the title.
Will Howard was fantastic throughout the entire run. He was especially great in the National Championship Game. He set a CFP national title game record with an 81% completion percentage. He finished the game 17/21 for 231 yards and two touchdowns. Howard also ran it for 57 yards.
Before the CFP started, Fox Sports analyst Emmanuel Acho called Howard the worst quarterback in the CFP semifinals "by far." All Howard did was lead the Ohio State Buckeyes to a national championship. Now, Acho has decided to eat crow on that comment and gave Howard his proper credit.

After leading the Buckeyes to a national championship, Howard is an Ohio State legend forever. Even though he was only with the program for a year, he did exactly what he set out to do. He was a massive reason that Ohio State was even able to get to the final game.
When Acho made his ridiculous claim about Howard being the worst quarterback in the semifinals, it was stupid at the time. Now that Howard has the golden trophy, he is getting the last laugh. He raised his draft stock to a level no one thought he would be at.
Howard has given Ryan Day his title as a quarterback whisperer back to him. Day has turned Howard into an intriguing draft possibility. More than that, he turned him into a national championship quarterback. That's something Acho should've seen.
