Think there are days off for the Ohio State football team after winning the natty? Nope. While spring ball is wrapped up and we have to wait until the summer for camp to arrive, we're seeing a lot of Ohio State playmakers put in work this offseason. The list includes stud safety Caleb Downs.

We may be biased, but there's no question in our minds that Downs is going to be one of the best players in the country next season. There's a reason so many early mock drafts have him as a Top 5 pick for 2026. Downs is only adding to the buzz around his name thanks to a new workout clip that is going viral among the OSU fanbase. Yup, Downs looks nothing short of sensational in this video:

Can it be late August yet? Seriously, Downs has a lot of people even more fired up for next season to get here thanks to that workout. It's almost unreal how quick he is with his feet, with his hip movement and ability to change directions also being out of this world.

In 2024, Downs was named a consensus All-American after his brilliant showing for the Ohio State defense. He was a joy to watch making plays for former defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, who has since made his way over to Penn State.

It goes without saying, but Downs was a major reason why the Buckeyes were able to win the natty. Now that he's entering his junior year, he'll be looked at to be a veteran leader for this team as Ohio State looks to repeat as the champs.

As most of you remember, Downs signed with Alabama as a 5-star prospect in 2023, but he left the Crimson Tide after only one season on campus. Day and Co. landed the nation's former No. 1 ranked safety and the rest is history. He's going to be a superstar once again in '25, with his work ethic continuing to be on full display for everyone to enjoy.
