If there is one thing fans love to see at Ohio State spring practices, it is touchdowns by the offense. One Ohio State freshman is certainly showing off his fresh talent with one of his touchdown catches, and it is going to make fans fall in love with him.
Former five-star wide receiver Brock Boyd has been putting in the work at spring practices, and the latest video of his touchdown during practice is one that will build the hype. Boyd lined up for a play in the red zone, and when he ran his route, he made an excellent move in the end zone to break away from his defender.
It was a crisp move that opened just enough space for the pass and score, and his teammates seemed to love it as they went crazy for the route and the score.

Brock Boyd has made a big impact in Ohio State spring practices
The touchdown catch isn't the only play Boyd has made during spring practices, and the work he has been putting in has been shown to the coaching staff. Head coach Ryan Day even announced that Boyd was the first freshman of his class to lose the black stripe on his helmet.
For Ohio State players, losing the black stripe on the helmet means that players have officially earned their permanent spot on the team. It shows that the player has demonstrated hard work, dedication, and fits in with the culture of Ohio State.
Boyd losing his stripe so early proves that he has done everything anyone would have hoped for out of a five-star recruit. Even though Day didn't have expectations for Boyd coming into spring practices, he has loved what he has seen from the young pass-catcher. Even Boyd's teammates have noticed his work and improvement, and now fans will hope to see it next season.
