A lot of times, a team will take a bye week to study film, heal some injuries, and develop game plans. For Ryan Day and the rest of the Ohio State coaching staff, this past weekend was spent on the recruiting trail as the team sets its sights on the future just weeks into the current season.

It wasn't just the current recruiting efforts that we saw, either. It was standout performances from already committed recruits, too.

Standout wide receiver commit Chris Henry Jr. had himself a game as his Mater Dei Monarchs took on the Bishop Gorman Gaels last weekend in a duel of very talented West Coast schools. Henry hauled in six catches for 115 yards and a score, averaging 19.2 yards per reception. The son of the deceased NFL player and godson of 'Pacman' Jones is a 5-star and a consensus number one or two on most recruiting sites.

Another 5-star future Buckeye saw himself get some limelight this past weekend on a big hit he laid down. Baton Rouge Catholic's Blaine Bradford, a senior, committed to Ohio State earlier this year, but there is still a chance he flips and joins his brother Jacob at LSU.
