2024 Week 13 12-team College Football Playoff rankings prediction

There were some more upsets this past week. The Ohio State football team sits in a good spot, but what about other teams around the country?

The Ohio State football team did what they needed to do on Saturday. They took care of business against the Wildcats with a 31-7 victory. They should stay second in the CFP rankings, even though Oregon struggled and looked bad against Wisconsin.

Even though the Buckeyes won, there were still a lot of other teams that weren't able to do what they needed to do. That could help the Buckeyes in case they drop another game, whether that happens this week to Indiana, next week to Michigan, or in the Big Ten Championship Game.

This week's College Football Prediction table gets us a little clearer in the picture for the Playoff. Teams are starting to reveal who they truly are. With how many key games are in these final two weeks, there is no margin for error for a lot of teams at the bottom of the top 12 rankings.

As you can see, there isn't any change in the top eight. BYU lost to Kansas, though. Shouldn't they fall back from their position? Well, no. The Big 12 is so bad that they still seem like the best team. Colorado is the only other team that I think has a shot to win the conference.

Miami jumps back in because I just don't see three SEC teams that have two losses getting in. The ACC isn't exactly a powerhouse conference either, but Miami's offense is good enough to scare people. They're playing better than a lot of other teams, even with the loss a couple of weeks ago.

Boise State gets into the table this week. As cool as it would be to see Army beat Notre Dame this week, I just don't see it happening. If they can't do that, they won't be the highest-ranked Group of 6 team. Boise State will be, even though they struggled with San Jose State.

These final two weeks of the regular season will give us the answers we've been waiting for. There's a lot of football left to be played.
