Connor Stalions purchased tickets to Ohio State Football games over three years
By Ryan Stano
We know all about Connor Stalions and his illegal plot to steal signs from opposing teams. Michigan coaches have been suspended for it and one lost his job over the scandal. Now we know just how many Ohio State football games Stalions tried to go to.
According to ABC 6 here in Columbus, Stalions purchased 12 tickets over the course of three years to Ohio State football games. He purchased tickets from 2021-2023, with most of them facing Ohio State’s sideline between the 40-50-yard line.
In 2021, he purchased tickets to the Maryland, Purdue, and Michigan State games. In 2022, he purchased tickets to the Notre Dame, Arkansas State, Toledo, Wisconsin, Rutgers, and Michigan games. This past season, he bought tickets for the Western Kentucky, Maryland, and Penn State games.
Stalions technically resigned, although I’m sure TTUN told him it was either that or getting fired. This just adds to the litany of evidence that supports that Michigan has been cheating for the last two-plus years. Unfortunately, it didn’t end up mattering on Saturday as the Buckeyes lost without Jim Harbaugh coaching against them.
We will see what kind of punishment Michigan ultimately receives from the NCAA at a later date. That likely won’t happen until the end of the season though. Vacated wins are surely on the table, as are a loss of scholarships. I doubt Harbaugh will come back next year either.
This does nothing to lessen the sting of Ohio State’s loss on Saturday because we know the team changed all of their signs a month prior to this game once all of this information came out. They had plenty of time to fix things. Ryan Day and Kyle McCord just weren’t good enough.
As far as the scandal is concerned, more information continues to come out each day. It will continue to come out until the investigation closes.
