Three keys for Ohio State Football to beat Michigan
By Ryan Stano
2. Kyle McCord must play his best game in an Ohio State football uniform.
Kyle McCord has had some really good games this season for the Ohio State football team. His final drive against Notre Dame is the stuff that legends are made of. He also had a strong outing against both Purdue and Michigan State later in the year.
All of those experiences have led up to this. McCord needs to be at his best on Saturday. Like Ohio State, Michigan will try to stop the run. They don’t want to let TreVeyon Henderson run all over them. They will force McCord to sit back in the pocket and make decisions.
Michigan will try to get pressure on McCord and force him to make throws into tight coverages. He has to resist the temptation to do so. He just needs to get the ball to Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka as quickly as possible. I don’t want to see any throws into double coverage.
Despite all the discourse surrounding McCord, the Buckeyes still lead the Big Ten in passing yardage. They will be the best passing attack that Michigan has faced this year. I wonder how they will fare against a group of elite receivers and a really good tight end.
The final key for the Buckeyes to beat TTUN is to take care of the football.
