Ohio State Football: Messiah Delhomme receives an offer
By Tyler Lyman
Messiah Delhomme from 757 Newport News, Warwick High School received an offer on Sunday, after visiting the Ohio State football team’s last game in the Shoe.
Messiah Delhomme is a safety from the class of 2025. He stands at 6’1 and weighs in about 200. He currently has 17 offers after Auburn gave him an offer on Tuesday. Messiah also competes in track and field, his 100 meter comes in at 11.12.
Delhomme accumulated 61 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 8 INTs (2 pick-sixes) as a safety at Warwick. Delhomme also got named Region 4A Defensive Player of the Year. He then also got selected First Team All-State selection at both wide receiver and safety as a sophomore.
Delhomme would be an excellent fit in the Buckeyes defense. Some could say that Ohio State is known for DBs. Some safeties currently in NFL from Ohio State are Von Bell, Jordon Fuller, and Malik Hooker.
Buckeye fans might want to keep an eye out for whether Messiah Delhomme commits to them or not. Either way, Delhomme is going to be an athlete to watch no matter what teams he goes to. As a four-star prospect, he would be a really nice get for the Buckeyes.
The Ohio State football program does have a few commits for the 2025 class already, but adding Delhomme would be a nice addition to the secondary. Ohio State having the best pass defense in the country is definitely something to point to to try to get him.
It will probably be a little while before Delhomme commits. He has several other visits he’s looking to make. He’s a guy with high potential in Jim Knowles’ defense if he were to come to Columbus.
