Ohio State Football vs. Michigan Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 13
By Ryan Stano
This is it. We are finally here. The Game. The Ohio State football team has no more distractions or other opponents to worry about. All that lies between them and an undefeated regular season are their arch-rivals from up north. This is going to be a bloodbath.
After the suspension of Jim Harbaugh and the firing of another coach, the sign-stealing saga continues to swirl around TTUN. Harbaugh will not be on the sidelines on Saturday afternoon. His team limps in after surviving Maryland 29-24 with Sherrone Moore as the interim head coach.
Ohio State is coming off a huge 37-3 victory over Minnesota that featured a spectacular second half. The Buckeyes are coming into this game with a ton of confidence in their defense and their running game. They will lean on both in Ann Arbor.
Ohio State football vs. Michigan Odds, Spread, and Total
According to FanDuel, the Buckeyes are 3.5-point underdogs. This marks the first time this season that Ohio State is not favored in the game. If you think Ohio State wins the game, that’s easy money. The over/under for the game sits at 46.5, which is higher than I thought it would be.
If you pick the Buckeyes to win straight up on the moneyline, the odds are +146. Those are good odds if you believe that Kyle McCord can make enough plays in the passing game to make TTUN pay. Marvin Harrison Jr. will certainly be a focal point of Michigan’s game plan, so he might have to find another target to hurt them.
Ohio State football vs. Michigan Key Players to Watch
For Ohio State, all eyes will be on Kyle McCord. His play has been up and down this season. Fans have been quick to be critical when he misses throws. I tend to think he plays his best in pressure situations. He showed that against Notre Dame and Penn State.
On the other sideline, Blake Corum is the guy to watch. He has killed the Buckeyes in the last two seasons. If Ohio State can stop him and the running attack of TTUN, then Ohio State will win this game. Corum is their best back and a touchdown machine, scoring 20 of them this year on the ground.
Ohio State football vs. Michigan Prediction and Pick
The Ohio State fanbase is out for blood. They want to prove that the only reason TTUN won the last two matchups between these two teams was because they cheated. If the Buckeyes don’t win, fans will be calling for Ryan Day’s head on a spike. That’s how much this game means.
Personally, I really like what I’ve seen from this Buckeye team in the last few weeks. The running game has really turned around and the defense is stingy. TTUN has a right tackle problem and they clearly don’t trust J.J. McCarthy to throw the ball when the game is on the line.
I also think TTUN definitely cheated against the Buckeyes. For those reasons, give me Ohio State 24-20
