The Ohio State football team came into Saturday night undefeated and just one week away from The Game. The Buckeyes were trying to avoid looking ahead to that game and had Minnesota in town for Senior Day. Right off the bat, Ohio State showed this wasn’t going to be a problem.

TreVeyon Henderson started things off by getting a 9-yard rushing touchdown. Henderson was great until he left early in the second half so he could rest. He finished the day with 15 carries for 145 yards and two touchdowns. He’s going to be a big part of next week’s game.

The defense was the story of the game though. J.T. Tuimolau recovered a fumble and Jordan Hancock had a pick, both in the second half. Those set up easy touchdowns for Henderson and Marvin Harrison Jr. After Ohio State led just 13-0 in the first half, they were quickly up 27-0 with 13:53 left in the third quarter.

In the end, the Ohio State football team won the game 37-3. The defense continued to be elite as they have been all season long. If they continue to play that way next week, they will be in good shape against TTUN. Michigan’s offense struggled at times today against Maryland.

Now that this game is over, the Buckeyes can officially turn their attention to The Game. Ryan Day did a phenomenal job making sure his team stayed focused this week. Meanwhile, TTUN almost got upset by Maryland. Ohio State clearly has the momentum heading into next week.

With it now beating Beat Michigan week, we will have you covered in all matters of The Game. We already know that Jim Harbaugh won’t be there. It will be up to Ohio State’s offense to pass the ball effectively enough to get the win. I expect them to lean on their defense just like they did tonight.
