As we all know, Jim Harbaugh is currently suspended for the rest of the season. He didn’t coach against Penn State and can’t coach against Maryland this week or the Ohio State football team in two weeks. That’s all about to change pretty soon though.

Michigan filed a temporary restraining order request to try to get an injunction to lift the suspension. That didn’t happen in time for the Penn State game. A meeting has been scheduled to hear on the matter on Thursday. It’s likely to be granted though.

It’s likely to be granted because the judge hearing the case is a Michigan graduate. They will likely grant the injunction and allow Harbaugh to coach for the 14 days that it is in effect. That means coaching games against Maryland and the Ohio State football team.

Personally, this is how I want things anyway. I don’t want there to be any excuses when the Buckeyes go into Ann Arbor and win. I want TTUN fans to be sad when they realize the only reason they beat Ohio State in the last two seasons was because they cheated.

I’d actually be very surprised if Harbaugh continued serving that suspension by the time the Buckeyes were ready to head to Ann Arbor. To be clear, I think Harbaugh should be punished and the suspension should stay intact. I just don’t think a Michigan graduate judge will let that happen.

This isn’t a problem for the Ohio State Buckeyes right now though. They need to stay focused on Minnesota this week. They can worry about the Wolverines all of next week. The Buckeyes have to keep taking things one game at a time.
