The Ohio State football team is taking on Michigan State tonight. It’s a game in which the Buckeyes are favored by a large amount. To be honest, this should be one of two more warm-up games for The Game. As long as they’re prepared for Michigan, that’s all that matters.

Michigan State has lost six of their last seven games, although they did just win last week against Nebraska. They don’t do anything particularly well on either side of the ball. They can’t really throw it without turning the ball over nor can they run it super well.

Running the ball is the only chance that Michigan State has to pull a massive upset. The Buckeyes gave up a boatload of yards against Rutgers last week. That will be one of the things they are looking to shore up this week. Ohio State knows that if they play that poorly again against the run, they could lose to a good team.

Prediction: Ohio State football 38 Michigan State 10

The good news for the Buckeyes is that the Spartans aren’t a good football team. Unless Ohio State turns the ball over five times or something crazy like that, there’s no reason they shouldn’t win this game by at least three touchdowns. The talent gap is that large.

I will be interested to see how Jim Knowles addresses the poor run defense that was played a week ago. He knows that even though the Buckeyes’ defense is still great overall, a big output like that on the ground could lose them a game against one of the better teams in the country.

TreVeyon Henderson could have over 150 yards rushing again. Marvin Harrison Jr. should get back to 100+ yards receiving again. I’d like to see Kyle McCord throw for over 300 yards, but I’m not sure that he will.

There’s no reason Ohio State should walk out of the Shoe with another victory and should still be undefeated once this game is over. They just have to get through one cold night first.
