The Ohio State football team wants to stay undefeated. In order to do that, they have to beat Rutgers today, who is 6-2. Rutgers isn’t a bad football team, but they’ve lost to the only two good teams they’ve faced in Michigan and Wisconsin. Ohio State is the best team they’ve faced so far.

Ohio State’s offense has had an up-and-down season. Marvin Harrison Jr. has been amazing in every game, but he’s been the only consistent performer. Kyle McCord had his worst game against Wisconsin and is trending downward after having a bad game against Penn State too.

TreVeyon Henderson played great after finally coming back from injury, running for 164 yards and a touchdown against the Badgers. Having a solid run game would certainly help McCord get back into the groove he was in earlier in the season. Rutgers just isn’t good enough to stop Ohio State’s offense from moving the ball.

Prediction: Ohio State football 34 Rutgers 7

I don’t see there being any way that Rutgers wins this game. They run the ball well, but that’s about it. Ohio State has an elite defense and should be able to stop that run game. When Rutgers has to pass, it’s a complete adventure. Ohio State is even better at defending the pass than they are the run.

The only chance Rutgers would have is if they forced Ohio State into a bunch of turnovers. Ohio State turned it over three times last week and was still able to win the game. The Buckeyes can still win games even when they don’t play their best game.

In the end, Ohio State is just too talented. It shouldn’t be a game that Buckeye fans have to worry about too much. They should be walking out of New Jersey with another win and still the best resumé in the country.
