We know how slowly things move when it comes to NCAA investigations. That’s why Ohio State football fans haven’t expected any action from them yet in regards to the Michigan sign-stealing scandal. Yet, the walls are closing in on Michigan as we speak.

It was reported that Big Ten coaches had a call with Big Ten Commissioner Tony Pettiti imploring him to punish Michigan. That’s just step one of this process. Step two might come later today when the athletic directors get on a call with Pettiti.

That call could result in him instituting some sort of action toward Jim Harbaugh and Michigan. He could ban them from the Big Ten Championship Game. That’s about as far as he can go right now, but that is still very much in play depending on how that call goes today.

The walls are clearly closing in on Michigan. More and more evidence keeps coming out each day about this sign-stealing scandal. It’s only a matter of time before the initial punishment comes down. The punishment from the NCAA will come after the season.

Even if TTUN is ineligible for the Big Ten Championship Game, the Ohio State football team is still focused on beating them in the final game of the season. The Buckeyes are looking to avenge the last two losses that look like they were a product of Michigan’s cheating.

Michigan can’t cheat anymore. Ohio State is very talented. So is Penn State. It’s very possible that TTUN will end up losing two games this season. Now that they don’t know exactly what plays opponents are going to run, they may not be able to beat great teams.
