Ohio State Football vs. Wisconsin: Official prediction
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team plays another game in primetime today. Playing in Camp Randall is never easy. The Buckeyes are trying to keep their emotions in check after a huge win over Penn State a week ago. Playing Wisconsin on the road at night is not an easy way to get that done.
Wisconsin does have a backup quarterback playing today. Braedyn Locke has to fill in for the injured Tanner Mordecai yet again this week. Unfortunately for him, he goes up against one of the best defenses in the country. Ohio State proved that by shutting down the Nittany Lions last week.
On offense, the Buckeyes are looking to run the ball with more efficiency. It’s been a struggle for them all year on that front. It will help to get TreVeyon Henderson back for this game, but it’s still really up to the offensive line. They have to get push up front.
Running the ball is going to be a focal point for this Ohio State football team early. The weather will be cold, so they are going to have to be able to pound the rock. They also need to be able to stop the run, which has been the weakest part of a great defense. When I say weakest, they’re still 18th in the country in rush defense.
Prediction: Ohio State football 27 Wisconsin 7
This is the prediction I started the week out with and I’m staying with it. I don’t think Wisconsin has the offense to be able to keep up with Ohio State. I also don’t think they can stop Marvin Harrison Jr. No one can. He’s too good of a player to be shut down.
The combination of Harrison Jr. and a suffocating defense should lead to the Buckeyes walking out of Madison still undefeated. If they do win by this score, it would be the fourth-straight game they’ve covered.
