Ohio State Football vs. Wisconsin: Injury report

The Ohio State football team was able to beat Penn State a week ago without three of their best players. Despite being without TreVeyon Henderson, Denzel Burke, and Emeka Egbuka, the Buckeyes were able to beat the Nittany Lions 20-12 thanks to the defense.

It was good to see that the Buckeyes had some players who could step up for those injured guys and help them win. Yet, it would obviously be better if Ohio State was able to be fully healthy. That’s especially true in a hostile environment like Camp Randall Stadium.

So how healthy will the Ohio State football team be? Henderson will be back this week on offense. It will be nice for the Buckeyes to have their home run hitting back in the backfield. The running game still hasn’t been hitting on all cylinders yet. That might change today.

Burke will also be back. Burke missed last week with a lower-body injury. Jermaine Mathews Jr., a true freshman, stepped up and played really well in his absence. Burke has been playing at an All-American level though and it’s nice to have him back in the fold.

Egbuka is the big question mark. He is officially listed as questionable by the Buckeyes. He did dress last week and had his helmet on, but didn’t play a single snap. My feeling is that he gets out there today, even if he’s on a reduced snap count. I expect him to play.

Being fully healthy is great for this team. They are in the driver’s seat of the Big Ten and can’t have a letdown against a Wisconsin team that had a nice comeback win a week ago. It should be a fun game to watch!
