3. The Ohio State football team needs to play its normal good defense

The best thing about the Ohio State football team this year is that they have a reliable defense. Jim Knowles has done an excellent job taking this defense to an even higher level than last year. They even have eliminated giving up big plays so far this season.

Ohio State has a great defense. That means they don’t have to do anything special against the Badgers. They are already down to a backup quarterback, so they are going to try to run the ball. The Buckeyes know that and need to be prepared to stop Braelon Allen.

As good as Ohio State is against the pass, they are 18th in the country against the run. That’s certainly not bad, but it’s not elite like their pass defense is. I still don’t think that they will have too many problems stopping Wisconsin by just playing the same type of defense they’ve played all year.

As long as the Buckeyes stay within themselves and don’t try to do anything fancy on defense, I don’t see any reason why they shouldn’t be able to handle the Badges on offense. It feels really good to be able to rely on the Buckeye defense once again.
