The Ohio State football team is riding high off their huge win over Penn State on Saturday. They look like they have the best defense in the country after shutting down the Nittany Lions 20-12. They’ve already taken down one Big Ten power. There’s just one more left to beat.

Ohio State sits in the driver’s seat of the Big Ten after this victory. TTUN has had a cupcake schedule so far, but they will finish with a little tougher slate. Their last three games are against Penn State, Maryland, and the Ohio State football team.

Even if the Buckeyes lose that final game to TTUN, they still have an excellent resume to make the College Football Playoff yet again. Their win at Notre Dame really gives them a boost compared to other teams that would have a loss. Of course, the Buckeyes are looking to just run the table and not have to worry about that.

As far as the Big Ten race is concerned, Ohio State’s schedule lightens up after this weekend. They travel to Wisconsin on Saturday night, which is never an easy place to play. Then they finish at Rutgers, home against Michigan State, home against Minnesota, and The Game.

Only The Game looms as any serious threat to knock the Ohio State football team from the ranks of the unbeaten. They are truly one of the best teams in the country. Their defense makes them the favorites to win every game on their schedule except that final one.

Even in that final game, I think the Buckeyes have a really good shot. A lot of things are swirling around Michigan and Ohio State is only gaining momentum. I think this is the year that Ryan Day gets back on track and takes back control of the rivalry.
