The Ohio State football team has had some trouble staying healthy in the last few weeks. They have been down some key guys. Against Purdue, the Buckeyes were without TreVeyon Henderson, Miyan Williams, and Emeka Egbuka. They also lost Denzel Burke and Chip Trayanum during the game.

All of those players are key guys who play a lot of snaps for the Ohio State football team. As they prepare for the best team they have faced all season, they want to be as healthy as they can possibly be. Penn State is good enough to beat them with all healthy guys, let alone having some key guys out.

Ryan Day gave Buckeye fans some good news today during his press conference. Speaking to reporters, he mentioned that the Ohio State Buckeyes should get Egbuka, Henderson, Williams, and Burke back for Saturday. Only Trayanum wasn’t mentioned.

It makes sense that Trayanum would be out for this week’s showdown with Penn State. It looked like he got concussed and that has turned into a minimum of a two-week injury. But it’s really good to get the other two running backs back to boost that position.

Burke has been spectacular all year long and has been the best corner on the team. Quite frankly, he’s been the best player in the secondary. Ohio State needs him on the field against Penn State. He will be locked on KeAndre Lambert-Smith if he is able to go.

Egbuka just gives this offense another weapon to beat teams with. Marvin Harrison Jr. and Cade Stover were the only two reliable pass-catchers against the Boilermakers. Adding Egbuka back makes the offense immensely harder to stop for a really good Penn State defense.

Hopefully, Day is right and all of these guys are able to come back and play this weekend. It certainly gives the Buckeyes the best chance to win.
