If this game doesn’t make you even a little bit nervous, you’re not human. Everyone remembers what happened last time the Ohio State football team traveled to West Lafayette. It was a butt-kicking at the hands of the Boilermakers that kept them out of the CFP.

The Buckeyes are looking to redeem themselves this Saturday at noon. What makes matters worse is that this is a trap game. Penn State comes into town next weekend and they look better than any other Penn State team in recent memory. But Ohio State can’t focus on them right now.

Purdue deserves all of their focus. I think they will get it. Hudson Card has the tendency to force the ball into windows that aren’t there. I think the Ohio State football team will take advantage of that and force him into some turnovers. The main thing the Bucks need to do is stop the run.

The weather is going to be bad so the run game is going to be very important for both teams. I think Ohio State does a little better job running the ball than they did against Maryland. But if you are expecting some monster game on the ground, you’re going to be disappointed.

Official prediction: Ohio State football 38 Purdue 14

I do think this is a close game in the first half. Ohio State came out sloppy in the first half last week against Maryland and then turned it on in the second half. I see something similar happening this week. Ohio State just isn’t clicking on all cylinders right now.

There shouldn’t be another big upset this weekend. Purdue doesn’t have any horses on offense to make the Buckeyes pay like they did in 2018. But I also don’t think we get the inspiring performance we are all hoping for the week before playing the Nittany Lions.
