Ohio State Football: 3 Bold predictions for Maryland game
No. 3) Ohio State football 45, Maryland 21
The Ohio State football team should be well-rested and ready to go against Maryland this Saturday in Ohio Stadium. While Maryland is off to a hot 5-0 start, they really haven’t played anybody worth a darn.
This Saturday will be a wakeup call for the Terrapins and I believe the Buckeyes will not want a repeat of what happened last year when Maryland nearly pulled off the upset of Ohio State. I think the offense will roll, even though Maryland has some nice players on defense including a stellar corner named Tarheeb Still, who has three picks so far this season.
I think Ohio State will have its way rushing the ball on its way to over 200 yards on the ground. That should set up the play-action game nicely for the second half of the game as Kyle McCord and these receivers could benefit greatly.
Defensively the Buckeyes could give up some points to the potent offense. Maryland is averaging 38 points per game so far, but they have not seen a defense like Ohio State’s yet. I think Mike Locksley will try to use its best player, Taulia Tagovailoa, to establish a passing attack but it will be limited by this excellent Buckeye secondary.
I think this could wind up being one of Ohio State’s finest offensive performances of the season as the Scarlet and Gray cruise to an easy victory.
