2. Ohio State football vs. Michigan 2016

There is only one time in history that the Ohio State football team has played an overtime game with TTUN. That happened in 2016, and it went to double-overtime. This game was an elimination game from the College Football Playoff as well as the Big Ten Championship Game.

Ohio State did not play a beautiful offensive game by any means. A defensive touchdown by Malik Hooker and Michigan fumbling the ball at the one-yard line helped the Buckeyes do what they needed to do to send the game to overtime. Double-overtime is when things really got interesting.

We all remember the first down by J.T. Barrett on fourth down. Urban Meyer decided to go for it because his kicker had already missed twice in the game. Barrett got it by a hair, and Curtis Samuel scored the game-winning touchdown on the very next play of the game.

Not only was this a great finish with it being won on a game-winning touchdown, but it was against your rivals. That’s what makes it even sweeter, and that’s why it’s so high up on this list. It doesn’t get much better than beating Michigan in double overtime!

The one game where it does get better was also a double-overtime game. But this time, it was for a national championship.
