The Ohio State football program continues to pour excellent talent into the NFL. C.J. Stroud is the latest example of that.

As Ryan Day and the Ohio State football team continue to dominate on the football field, they also continue to dominate in terms of producing NFL talent. Quarterback C.J. Stroud, the second overall pick in last year’s NFL Draft, is looking like the real deal for the Houston Texans.

Stroud was the leader for a surprise 37-17 upset victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars yesterday on the road. He was 20-30 passing for 280 yards and two touchdown passes en route to the win. He is drawing high praise from his teammates, including tight end Jordan Bevin who had this high praise to say following the game, via ESPN:

"“The best thing that happened to the Houston Texans’ franchise was us beating the Indianapolis Colts last game, last year. We drafted the right guy. Man, he’s a leader. He’s a phenomenal player and a phenomenal guy with God-given talent. Dude, he’s unbelievable.”"

Things are starting to look up for a franchise that was down and out for so long, all thanks to this former Buckeyes who has given the team, and the fans hope for a brighter future. The great thing about Stroud’s hot start too is that he is not turning the ball over, which is golden in the NFL.

He is completing 64% of his passes for 906 yards, four touchdown passes, and zero interceptions through three games. His 121 passing attempts without a pick is the most in NFL history through a quarterback’s first three career starts.

Next. Kyle McCord came up clutch when he was needed the most. dark

He also joins Cam Newton and Justin Herbert as the only quarterbacks to ever throw for over 900 yards in their first three games. He has just been phenomenal so far. The sky is the limit for C.J. and I can’t wait to see how his career unfolds.
