The Ohio State football team takes on Western Kentucky in just a couple of hours. They are trying to use this game to sharpen themselves on both sides of the ball before traveling to South Bend to take on Notre Dame next week. They have some work to do on the offensive line, that’s for sure.

They want to keep themselves as healthy as possible heading into that game as well. That means coming into today’s game healthy and staying healthy. Josh Proctor missed last game with an injury and that left true freshman Malik Hartford in line to start for him.

Proctor will be back for this game. In fact, the entire Ohio State football team is healthy except for safety Lathan Ransom, who is listed as questionable. If I had to guess, he might try to play and then once things get out of hand they will pull him as soon as possible. If he doesn’t play it’s not a huge deal.

The biggest thing the Buckeyes want to do is make sure they are healthy for next week. If that means sitting Ransom out and letting either Hartford or Ja’Had Carter slide into the starting lineup, so be it. Ransom is the best of the safeties and Ohio State needs him more next week than they do this week.

Next. Brian Hartline a possible contender for MSU job. dark

Other than Ransom, the Buckeyes have a clean bill of health. I’d like to see them be able to dominate this game on both sides of the ball to get their confidence up heading into next week!
