Ohio State Football vs. Western Kentucky: Weather report
By Ryan Stano
This Saturday will be the second straight home game for the Ohio State football team. Western Kentucky will be coming in to face the Buckeyes. It should be another big crowd on hand to watch Kyle McCord try to shred the Hilltoppers’ defense in advance of heading to Notre Dame next week.
Last week was a perfect setting for an Ohio State football game. The weather was fantastic. It was warm but not too hot, not much wind, and there were clear skies all game. It was the ideal setting for Ohio State’s offense to get back on track, and they did.
So what’s in store for the game this weekend? The game is at 4 p.m., so it’s a bit later than the opener against IU. According to the Weather Channel, we should have another great day for football. Again, something that should suit Ohio State’s offense.
It will be about 74 degrees at kickoff. The wind will only be blowing at about 4 mph, so that shouldn’t affect anything. There will also be clear skies once again, so make sure you bring some sunscreen for the game. It will get up to about 76 degrees near halftime.
This is the perfect time of year for football in my opinion. The temperatures are still warm and there’s not much precipitation going on. Western Kentucky probably isn’t too happy that the weather will be perfect because they need all the help they can get to beat the Buckeyes.
There will be no excuses if the offense doesn’t produce on Saturday. The quarterback issue is settled. The weather will be great. This is the perfect game to fix the offensive line and get some holes open in the run game. It’s also a great game to keep McCord in a confident rhythm.
It should be a great day for anyone going down to the Shoe!
