The Ohio State football team meets up with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers this Saturday in Ohio Stadium. Here are three predictions for the game.

The Ohio State football team puts its perfect record on the line when they face off against Western Kentucky, this Saturday at 4 p.m. in The Shoe. Western Kentucky boosts a high-flying offense led by Austin Reed, who is one of the best non-Power Five quarterbacks in college football.

The Hilltoppers also have wide receiver Malachi Corley, who is one of the pass catchers in the sport as well. It looks like the Buckeye secondary will get its first real test of the season, so we could find out quickly how much they actually have improved.

Here are three predictions for the game.

No. 1.) The Ohio State football team struggles against the WKU offense.

The Buckeye defense has given up only 10 points in two games thus far this season. But in all reality, they haven’t been tested at all. Playing against an Indiana offense that was content on running the clock and punting and an FCS offense in Youngstown State is not exactly murderer’s row.

But Western Kentucky will come into Ohio Stadium looking to pull the upset. And in order to do that they will need to score. Austin Reed and Malachi Corley will not be intimidated and will use this game as a platform to show their talents.

The Buckeyes struggled mightily to get off the field on third downs against Youngstown State. The tackling has also been suspect through two games. While it might not show it on the scoreboard, I’m not convinced that this defense is the next Steel Curtain. I think the Buckeyes will face some real challenges defensively on Saturday, on their way to a lackluster performance against a solid opponent.
