Overall Score – Confidence Level 96%

Ninety-six percent is not the highest I’ve given Ohio State in my confidence level rankings before. However, outside of the offense’s 8, this would have been a perfect 100% score this week. That offensive line along with breaking in a new starting quarterback has me worried, but not worried enough to give me any anxiety about this Saturday’s game against Youngstown State.

Believe me, I remember when Michigan fans were as confident that they were going to beat Appalachian State as we are about this weekend’s game against YSU. The difference is that App State was on a completely different level than this Youngstown State team is.

The Ohio State football team doesn’t have the luxury of just rolling their helmets out every week and expecting a “W.” But on this year’s schedule, this is the one game where if they did believe such foolishness, this would be that game.

It’s going to be interesting how Ryan Day handles the quarterback situation again this week. How much does Devin Brown actually get to play? When he does play, will he look just as good or possibly even better than Kyle McCord?

Will McCord take a step forward and look much better this week compared to his performance last week against Indiana? Will the offensive line begin to gel and do a better job in pass protection along with opening running lanes for TreVeyon Henderson? Speaking of Henderson, will he get the start again, or did Chip Trayanum do enough to get the start in week two?

All of these questions and more will be answered at noon on Saturday. If you don’t get the chance to attend the game in person, you can catch the broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
