The Ohio State football team meets up with Youngstown State next Saturday in Ohio Stadium. Here are three predictions for the game.

The Ohio State football team takes on Youngstown State next Saturday in Ohio Stadium for the home opener. While there was much discussion on how the Buckeyes fared during its first game against Indiana, it’s time to turn the page to get ready for the next game.

And an easy one this should be. Honestly, Ohio State has no business scheduling an FCS opponent like Youngstown State. But at least the game money gets to be kept in state and the Buckeyes can treat this like a true warm-up game for what’s to come in the next few weeks.

This is a game where hopefully the Buckeyes can build some confidence and continuity offensively. They looked out of sorts last Saturday, and this upcoming game should help solve some of their issues. Here are three predictions for the game.

No. 1) Marvin Harrison Jr. gets 100 yards receiving in the first half.

One of the most disappointing things about last week’s game was the lack of use of the wide receivers. Emeka Egbuka and Marvin Harrison Jr. combined for five catches and 34 yards. For having possibly the best two receivers in college football, that’s not good enough. Ryan Day and Brian Hartline need to force-feed these two playmakers.

And while being consonant about not getting your players hurt in a meaningless contest, I believe that Day will want to get Harrison the ball early against the Penguins and get a good rapport going with the passing game in general.

Look for Kyle McCord and Devin Brown to feed Harrison Jr. early in this game, as Marv tops the 100-yard receiving mark in the first half against Youngstown State.
