The Ohio State football team will start their season on Saturday afternoon when they take on Indiana at 3:30. With it being the first game of the season, the Buckeyes and the Hoosiers will both be shaking off some rust that has accumulated over the offseason.

We don’t know who the starting quarterback will be for the Ohio State football team yet. We also don’t know who IU’s will be either. Tom Allen announced that the team knows who will start, but he didn’t announce it publicly. It will either be Brendan Sorsby or Tayven Jackson for the Hoosiers.

No matter who the starting quarterback is for IU, they are going to need some luck to beat the Buckeyes. Ohio State is clearly the more talented team on both sides of the ball. Yet, we still don’t know if they have improved their ability to stop big plays from happening.

Those questions in the secondary are the only chance the Hoosiers have to pull an upset. I fully expect the Buckeyes to keep that from happening though. Their defensive line will put pressure on IU and keep them from being able to pick the secondary apart.

I don’t think this game will be a blowout in the first half though. Fans should definitely respect IU. Without knowing who the starting quarterback will be for the Buckeyes, it’s hard to predict how they will react to their first start on the road. Neither QB has started a road game in college yet.

IU has a bad defense so they shouldn’t put up much fight against either QB. If Ohio State turns the ball over, that is the only way IU can stay in the game for a full four quarters. Otherwise, the Buckeyes should be able to pull away in the second half for a win.
