The Ohio State football team doesn’t have a game scheduled for Week 0 this year. They haven’t done a whole lot of games during Week 0. Their first game will be Week 1 against the Indiana Hoosiers. Even though that’s just a week away, they still have a lot they need to focus on.

The Buckeyes still don’t have a starting quarterback. They don’t have a solidified offensive line yet, although we have a pretty good idea of who we think is going to be in that starting unit. Clearly, the biggest thing the Buckeyes need to figure out is who is going to lead that offense.

On defense, they need to focus on the secondary. The Buckeyes still have major questions back there despite finally putting Sonny Styles into the starting lineup. The corners still scare me. I’m not sure which version of Denzel Burke we are going to get.

I’m interested to see which running back is going to get the starting role. Both TreVeyon Henderson and Miyan Williams are going to get a long of carries, so it might not matter. But I do want to know which back the coaches decide to trust in crunch time.

It’s kind of wild that the Ohio State football team still has this many questions around the roster just a week out. They are the third-ranked team in the preseason AP Poll. Does any other top-five team have as many question marks on the roster as the Buckeyes?

We know they have a ton of talent. If Ryan Day is able to pull the right strings with the roster, they can compete with anyone. They have enough talent to win a national championship. It’s just about getting the right people into the starting lineups. That’s what they need to focus on during Week 0.

I hope I feel a lot better about what the Buckeyes are doing with their team this time next week.
