Recruiting has been a strong point in Ryan Day’s tenure as head coach of the Ohio State football program. He’s had some really strong classes, but the 2024 class is shaping up to be the best class in school history. That was helped after landing Eddrick Houston last night.

Now, according to 247Sports, the Buckeyes have the most talented 2024 recruiting class in the country. The average rating of their recruits is 93.85, which is the highest of any program. They currently have the second-best class in the country because they only have 22 commits thus far.

Ohio State continues to bring in the best talent in the country. No one has more five-star recruits than they do, as they now have five committed in the 2024 class. It’s impressive to see Ryan Day and his staff bounce back after having some unfortunate setbacks a few weeks ago.

The Ohio State football program is also so far ahead of the next Big Ten team in the rankings it’s shocking. TTUN is 8th in the rankings, a full six spots lower than the Buckeyes. They don’t have a single five-star recruit in their class despite having 27 commits.

Having the most talented recruiting class in the country is great. But what the coaches need to do now is take that talent and develop it. They need these guys to play to their full potential and help this program win a national championship. A lot of these guys could play very early in their careers.

Ohio State isn’t done adding talent either. They still have a few irons in the fire. They will be adding at least three more players into this class and could add as many as six more. Ohio State is looking to add a pretty full class this cycle, which isn’t a bad thing when they’re all really good.
